Product Feature:
Butterfly valve offers economical, efficient, and reliable service for grooved end piping applications. It is easily installed with two grooved end couplings. LOCXEND butterfly valves are ideally suited for use in mechanical rooms, process lines, condenser water lines, demineralized water lines, and chilled and hot water lines.
The rugged ductile iron body is epoxy coated on all wetted surfaces and all surfaces exposed to the atmosphere. This provides both internal and external corrosion protection.
The EPDM encapsulation on the disc provides protection from chemical attack and erosion and also forms a bubble tight seal against the inside wall of the valve. O-rings in EPDM prevent atmospheric corrosion to internal parts.
The top flange is symmetric to accept many different manual or gear operators as well as electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators. The extended neck allows ample room for insulation.
The EPDM encapsulated disc is designed to minimize turbulence and maximize good flow characteristics as well as provide positive sealing, protection against erosion and corrosion, and low sealing torque.
